Season Overview
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights Basketball Schedule 2026-27 is split into ten non-conference games and twenty Big Ten games. Eighteen of the thirty games are played at Jersey Mike’s Arena in Piscataway, ten are road trips, and two are neutral-site games in Las Vegas and Brooklyn. The road slate takes the team from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest, so the travel miles add up quickly in January. Fans who like to plan ahead can use the table above to mark the dates that matter most. A blank TV cell means the network has not been announced yet.
Non-Conference Games to Watch
The early part of the season is built around home games, beginning with New Haven on November 6, NJIT on November 10 and Bryant on November 13. The first big test comes on Tuesday, November 17, when the team meets Houston in Las Vegas at 2:00 PM ET as part of the Players Era Festival. Sacred Heart visits Jersey Mike’s Arena a week later on November 24 (B1G+).
December brings the Garden State Hardwood Classic, the in-state rivalry game against Seton Hall on Saturday, December 12 at 4:30 PM ET on FS1. Saint Peter’s (December 16), Army (December 20) and Delaware State (December 29) follow before the new year. The final non-conference game is a neutral-site meeting with Syracuse at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday, February 6, at 11:00 AM ET on ESPN2. Overall, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights Basketball Schedule 2026-27 gives the team a friendly November, a headline game in Las Vegas and a rivalry date in the middle of conference play.
Big Ten Matchups
Conference play begins on Tuesday, December 1 with a road game at Indiana (8:00 PM ET, FS1). The first Big Ten home game follows on December 9 against Michigan at 6:30 PM ET on BTN. January is the busiest month: a trip to Purdue on January 2 is followed by three straight home dates with UCLA (January 5), USC (January 8) and Iowa (January 12). After that come road games at Northwestern on January 16 and Maryland on January 19, a Minnesota visit on January 23, and West Coast trips to Oregon (January 27) and Washington (January 30).
The Oregon game tips at 11:00 PM ET because it is an 8:00 PM start in Eugene, so night owls should plan ahead. February opens with Purdue at home on February 3 and a road game at Michigan State on February 10. After that the team is home against Wisconsin on February 13, on the road at Nebraska on February 16, home against Penn State on February 20, and on the road at Ohio State on February 25. Maryland comes to Piscataway on February 28 and Illinois on March 3 before the regular season ends at Penn State on March 7 at 3:00 PM ET on BTN. Every one of these games is listed in the Rutgers Scarlet Knights Basketball Schedule 2026-27 table, so home games and road trips are easy to tell apart.
TV and Streaming Guide
Most Big Ten games air on BTN, the Big Ten Network. FS1 carries several marquee games, including Indiana, Seton Hall, USC and Ohio State. Peacock streams three home games: Delaware State on December 29, Penn State on February 20 and Maryland on February 28. B1G+ has the opener against New Haven and the Sacred Heart game, while ESPN2 has the Syracuse game in Brooklyn. A few non-conference games, such as Bryant and Houston, do not yet have a listed channel. This Rutgers Scarlet Knights Basketball Schedule 2026-27 page works as a handy TV checklist, and it is updated whenever a network is confirmed or a game time moves.
Exhibition Games
Before the November 6 opener, the team plays two exhibitions: Villanova on Sunday, October 11 at Jersey Mike’s Arena, and St. John’s on Sunday, October 18 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Exhibition games do not count toward the regular-season record or the 30-game total above, so check the official athletics website for tip-off times and ticket details.
Tickets and Game Day Tips
Ticket prices change daily and depend on the opponent and the day of the week. ESPN’s listing shows some non-conference home games starting in the low teens, while Houston and a few Big Ten matchups cost much more. Weekday tip-offs are often at 6:00 or 6:30 PM ET, which suits fans coming straight from work, and several Saturday games start around midday. Arrive early, check parking and entry rules for Jersey Mike’s Arena, and keep the Rutgers Scarlet Knights Basketball Schedule 2026-27 handy in case a time changes.
