Skins Game Format Explained
The Skins Game format is simple. Each hole carries a dollar value, and tied holes roll over to raise the stakes. A player who wins a hole outright takes the “skin,” and everyone starts the day at zero. The Skins Game format is built for drama because a few carryovers can turn one birdie into a huge payday. After last year’s revival, the Skins Game 2026 sticks with this classic structure. pgatour

If you are wondering how to watch Skins Game coverage, just open Prime Video before 9:00 a.m. ET on November 27. PGA Tour Studios is producing this year’s show. golfwrxgolfdigest
Skins Game Prize Money
The total purse is $4 million. Under the skins structure, the Skins Game prize money is not split evenly. Each player’s earnings depend on the holes he wins, so one player can finish far ahead of the others. In 2025, Keegan Bradley won 11 skins and $2.1 million, beating Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele and Shane Lowry. roundtablepgatour
A Short History of the Skins Game
The Skins Game started in 1983 as an unofficial money event and became a staple of the golf calendar, with stars such as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Fred Couples, Gary Player and Tiger Woods.
